good news at bad timing

As most of you know I've been working hard on the jmp (jamesmarshallproject.com) and we finally are going to close on the easy part. Many more great things in the works as well in the future soon as well. Nothing to write a book just yet but I do know we will be very successful, not in the wrong way by being big headed, but just the people that surround me remind me 24/7.

I want to send my best of thoughts out to Andrew McFarlands family. He was a cool cat. He was never too cool, too fast..he was just "Andrew." God Bless the McFarland family

Another upsetting passing was "Magoo" Danny Chandler. He had very encouraging words just after my injury in 2006. I never got the opportunity to meet him face to face, but a "true motocross embassedor." RIP Magoo.

Sin City

Las Vegas Dave CoombsSr East  West Shootout

I got a phone call from a family member saying, “I thought you were here”. So I began my quest to The City of Sin. Between gambling, trying to make it to the stadium…. It was the best event I’ve been to a race in a really long time. We sat in the press box which was nice.  I flew out by myself and the same for coming home!

The racing was a different story though. They put on the best show I’ve ever seen, so therefore the sport is really growing in such a great way. The Lites main Event was absolutely incredible with 4 Pro Circuit riders feeling like they were at the practice track. They were passing, slamming the door on each other. It was great racing. I’m not surprised that Jake weimer won, but his domination is what caught my eye. Then the Supercross class took off, again I was a little surprised that Ryan Dungey led all 20 laps with the holeshot to go along with it. Congratulations to both Jake and Ryan.

The JMP was brought up a lot which was really inspiring. We have been working diligently on this so it very rewarding to hear people talking about it. Plus, sitting in the press box was great! That’s it for now, dinners on the table. I’ll see you tomorrow. Thanks for visiting outlaw452.com

whats new?

So Saturday a friend of mine by the name of Randy Childers was injured seriously, but he is already seeing a pretty smooth road ahead of him! He and his family could use the prayers though. They are very good people with very good morals.

But what I'm wondering is why all the injuries? confusing to me. Almost each year there are fatalities at amatuer nationals or catastrophic injuries one after another. the bikes? tracks? pressure? Is it all combined? I don't know but i wish I could change it or at least find some sort of reasoning for all these issues. We ride dirtbikes, so of course we are going to have wrecks, thats obvious. Usually not if but when. Maybe I never noticed it because I hadn't seen it, but now it seems more often than the norm. Either way, the JMP, jamesmarshallproject.com is definately thinking about it and working on helping those fallen riders as well as many others.

gratitude

Well jamesmarshallproject finally has wheels underneath it, now we need get the engine fired up and it'll be rollin soon! Its been a long time coming though no doubt considering we've been entertaining it for about a year now plus at least 6 solid months of actually working. I am so grateful for the fact that I am able to have very smart intelligent board members (you can get more info by visiting jamesmarshallproject.com). But, from past experiences it feels as if its the calm before the storm. We've worked our tails hairless on it just spreading the word, and now that we are about to start accepting donations, it will not be busy to say the least.

The rise to the top will be tough yet fun, but staying there is a totally different story. With multiple plans in the works and a great board, I feel we should be near the top. but please don't get me wrong, our mission is to help others in need. Try to spread the word of hope and perseverance. That is what Outlaw means to me, to persevere. "The greater the obstacle, the more glory in overcoming it"-Moliere.
