Coming 'round

What a great two weeks. With the series BOOMING, working over 12 hours a day behind my desk and JMP has many, many things in the works. I just can not believe the turn outs we have been receiving. With having to split classes at the opening round then at B&C we had over 100 85cc entries! Flat out incredible! With the support of our Houston Motocross Community and Bone Head Graphics letting me design the Event Series T-shirt was another added bonus!

So we head to the stomping grounds of Cowboy Badlands. With the two venues down and five to go, the sky is our limit. I'll see you guys at Cowboy!

Round 1

Well if you missed the opener of the Main Event Series then I'm sure you've heard through the grapevine what all went down. Well here are some of the sights and sounds you might have missed. We'll call it: Through the eyes of an Outlaw: The line for sign up went down the stairs and curved down pit row, litterally! As you may have seen in times pasted at the Dealers Challenge for instance. Some of the unfortunate last minute sign-ups had waited in line for appr. 2 hours! That says a lot about the hype of the event. As for me, I was flattered but the ones who stood in line for a few hours, probably lost a lot of water in their bodies considering the boiling sun in Houson, TX in the middle of August.

We, the Stoltman family and I, got there around 2:30 or so and we got out right at the auction for Randy Childers or the ROCKSTAR tent, whichever you prefer (there were a lot of ROCKSTAR banners to say the least!). Instantly, faces I have not seen in years were popping up left and right. Almost like a motocross renuion. I sat down with RiderDown and we had jokes, laughs and even sad stories of "Magoo" who was a top proffesional from the early days of racing who unfortunately passed not long ago. A few hours went by and I was getting overheated so I jumped into the "rig"if you will where the air was set on 70. Thank You God! Popped my shoes off and layed my head back, but get this, people were still in line for sign-up. But once the racing began, that's when the fireworks started! The racing was flat out incredible. With myself only being about 3' off the ground in my chair, I could only see them come by the finish area, but hearing the eww's and aww's is when my heart filled with joy! One, because drawing that big of a crowd was awesome and two, everyone likes battles and as they went into the morning hours, they never stopped until the checkered flag dropped on the final moto at around 3 AM. It has been years since we've raced into the early morning hours, but it was not because anything was unorganized, there were just that many riders. It was one for the record books and I'm anxiously awaiting for next Saturday night where round 2 lies on the new B&C stomping grounds in Highlands, TX. Until then, Peace, Love and Moto.

crunch time

hey whats up world? I have been overwhelmed with work but man, I really love my work. One time I was told that if you are happy with what you do, you'll never work a day in your life!

Have a fantastic weekend and we'll see everyone next Saturday for the JMP's first benefit for Beaumont's Randy Childers.

peace,
